A week ago we sent our Gretchen on the road with our long haul truck driving son to act as his companion for the next couple of months. This serves two purposes for us. The first is that right now at my sister house there are serval female dogs in heat and Gretchen just had a litter of puppies on the 4th of July and we don't want her to go into heat early and unexpectedly so we can keep her from getting pregnant again to early. The second purpose is to train M to be used to taking care of his own dog by himself. M has never had a dog of his own and I am giving him a puppy to travel with him. This puppy I handpicked for him, is a medium size girl. She is Gretchen's grand-daughter. She will be the perfect size to share the truck's living space with. M also has allergies like I do, just not as serve, so this little girl is a 5th Generation labradoodle. Her name is Tawnee. It is a name that has origins in serveral countries including Native American and German. I like it because it goes along with the german names of our dogs and it means brightness. Tawnee is the daughter of Emma and Dutch. From Emma she get's her small size and spunkiness, from Dutch she gets goofiness and a lighter version of her daddy.
Happy Holidays!
