Friday June 18th, 2010

We have been pretty busy lately so once again posting here has gone to the wayside. One of my sisters decided that her chicken coup was too small and falling apart and letting mice in, etc. So she wanted to add on to it and I'm like lets build a totally new one and make it bigger, at least twice the size as the old. So she and I texted back and forth for about a week about sizes and what she wanted to have inside for her chicken. So finally decided on a 12' X 24' structure, 4 times the size of the old! So now every Saturday I've been driving up to her place to work on it. Sometimes the littles, Bear and Cubby go along to help too. To date we are up to insulating the interior wall and have rough electrical ran. It has a roof that we are proud to say doesn't leak. Cubby has a portable crib inside to take naps while we work. Because of being gone every weekend and for a short time I was driving to the coast every other weekend to get the littles from their mom, I just decided not to advertise our last 2 puppies. Which is fine, it is giving us time to work on potty training, though I need to work on teaching them more basic commands. The littles went back to living with their mom in April, and to be honest I don't know how long that will last, they may end up back with us again. Which is a whole other story that I could fill another blog up with, I think I could fill another blog about work too. Sometimes work is great and fun, and sometimes people your trying to help make you wonder why your even making an effort at all. It reminds me of one of those emails that get forwarded to 1000 of your closest friends about how having dogs are better than having kids. Speaking of kids, my own sons are doing well, M, is driving all over the country in his truck and enjoying himself. J, is in Afghanistan doing his job there. I miss having them close by, but they are both really good about contacting me in some manner or another so I don't have to worry about not hearing from them. Take care all and enjoy everyday.
